We want to be flexible with you, and we ask that you be fair with the team that holds your slot. Here's how we handle changes and cancellations.
1. Reschedule or cancel before service
- More than 48 hours' notice— no fee. Just call or text us and we'll move your appointment.
- 24–48 hours' notice — no fee for the first short-notice change in any 90-day window. After that we may charge a $50 rescheduling fee to cover lost route time.
- Less than 24 hours' notice— a $75 short-notice fee applies, since we typically can't fill the slot in time.
- Same-day cancellations or no-shows — 50% of the scheduled service price. If our team has already arrived and cannot access the property, the full price applies.
2. How to cancel or reschedule
The fastest way is to call or text us at (206) 300-5365, or email info@janicat.com. Replying to your booking confirmation email also works. We'll confirm receipt within one business day.
3. If you've already paid
If your service is paid in advance and you cancel within the fee-eligible windows above, the applicable fee is deducted from your refund and the balance is returned to your original payment method. Card refunds typically arrive within 5–10 business days.
4. Recurring services
For weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly recurring clients:
- You can pause your recurring schedule at any time with at least 48 hours' notice — no fee, no questions asked.
- If you cancel a recurring visit with less than 24 hours' notice, the rates above apply.
- Frequent same-week cancellations may move your account from a recurring rate back to one-time pricing.
5. We're reasonable
Genuine emergencies (illness, family loss, unsafe weather) don't trigger fees. Just let us know. We'd rather take care of you than nickel-and-dime you over a bad day.
6. When we cancel
If we have to reschedule due to staffing, weather, or equipment issues, we'll give you as much notice as possible and the next available slot. No fees apply when the cancellation is on our side, and we may credit a percentage of the affected service for material disruption.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email to active recurring clients before they take effect.
