These Terms govern your use of the Janicat Cleaning Service LLC website and cleaning services. By submitting a quote request or booking, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
Janicat Cleaning Service LLC provides residential and commercial cleaning services in greater Seattle and the Eastside. The exact scope of work for each cleaning is defined in writing during the walkthrough or booking process. We reserve the right to refuse service for unsafe conditions, hostile environments, or properties outside our service area.
2. Quotes and pricing
Quotes are based on the property details you provide (square footage, bedrooms, bathrooms, scope, frequency, add-ons). Final pricing is confirmed in writing before the service. If on-site conditions differ materially from what was described, we will pause the work and contact you to revise the scope and price before continuing.
3. Payment
We accept credit and debit cards via Stripe, plus cash, check, Venmo, and Zelle for clients who prefer offline payment.
- Online payments are processed and stored by Stripe. We do not see or store full card numbers.
- Offline payments are due on the day of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Recurring services may be billed per visit or on a subscription basis as set out in your service agreement.
- Sales tax applies to taxable services (residential cleaning is taxable in Washington State) and is collected at the rate effective on the day of service.

5. Refunds and satisfaction guarantee
If something isn't right, let us know within 24 hours of the cleaning. We will return at no additional cost to address the specific issue. If a return visit isn't feasible, we may issue a partial or full refund at our discretion.
Refunds for online payments are issued back to the original payment method, typically arriving within 5–10 business days. Offline-payment refunds are issued in the original form (cash back, check, or transfer).
6. Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate property information and access instructions.
- Secure pets and valuables before our team arrives. We are not responsible for items left in plain view that are damaged or lost without our knowledge.
- Inform us in advance of biohazards (bodily fluids, hoarding conditions, mold infestations) — these require specialized services we may not offer.
- Pay invoices on the agreed schedule. Late payments may incur fees as set out in your service agreement.
7. Property damage
Janicat Cleaning Service LLC is licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington State. If our team causes damage to your property, notify us within 24 hours of the cleaning. We will document the damage, file an insurance claim if applicable, and work with you to remediate. Pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, and items broken due to defect are not our responsibility.
8. Items we will not clean
For health and safety reasons, our standard residential and commercial cleaning does not include:
- Bodily fluids, blood, feces, or vomit (biohazard).
- Animal waste, including litter boxes (we can empty them).
- Heavy mold or pest infestations (requires specialty remediation).
- Items above safe ladder height or requiring specialized lift equipment.
- Hazardous materials, sharps, or unsecured firearms.
9. Photography
We may take before/after photos of cleaning areas for quality control and team training. Photos are stored privately and never shared publicly without your written consent.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Washington State, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of King County, Washington.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be posted here and communicated by email to active clients. Your continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
