Janicat Cleaning Service LLC(“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
When you use this website or request a quote we may collect:
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number that you provide on the inquiry form or booking page.
- Property details — address, ZIP code, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, preferred service date and frequency, and any notes you share about pets, access, or priorities.
- Payment details — for online payments, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your card information directly. We never see or store your full card number; we only receive a payment confirmation and the last 4 digits for our records.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. We use this for fraud prevention, rate limiting, and basic analytics.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and prepare a quote.
- To schedule, perform, and follow up on your cleaning service.
- To process payments and issue receipts or refunds.
- To send you transactional emails (booking confirmations, pay links, receipts). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
- To prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access to our systems.
- To comply with legal and tax obligations.
3. Service providers we share data with
We use a small number of trusted vendors to operate the business. They only receive the data they need for their function and are contractually bound to protect it.
- Stripe— payment processing. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Supabase — secure database hosting (US region).
- Upstash — rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- Vercel — website hosting and content delivery.
4. We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep customer records as long as you remain an active client and for a reasonable period after that to handle warranty claims, tax records, and legal obligations (typically 7 years for financial records). You may request deletion at any time — see section 7.
6. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data: encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest in our database, limited employee access, rate limiting on our APIs, and webhook signature verification on payment events. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to reduce risk.
7. Your rights
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at info@janicat.com and we will respond within 30 days.
If you are a California resident you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell it). Email us to exercise these rights.
8. Cookies
This site uses minimal cookies — strictly necessary cookies for session management and rate limiting. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future we will update this policy.
9. Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated by email to active clients.
